Postage information doesn’t fit on my labels

Format your printer so that the postage information fits on the labels. Note that most printers leave a margin around the sides of the printed material, which results in the printing area being smaller than the size of the full label.

Try looking at the print preview before you print to make sure your postage information fits on the label.

You can print labels more than once with no additional fees.

How do I reprint a shipping label purchased from BackerKit postage?

Print labels multiple times with no additional fees. After you pay for the postage, you won’t be charged again.

To reprint a label for one backer:

  1. On the menu on the left, click Backers.
  2. Search for the backer by their name, email address, notes, or pledge ID.
  3. When you find the backer, click their name.
  4. Click the Shipping tab.
  5. Click Download Label.

To reprint labels for multiple packages:

  1. On the menu on the left, click Start Shipping.
  2. Click BackerKit Postage.
  3. Click the Print & Ship tab.
  4. Find the batch of labels you want to reprint and click Download Label.

How do I make changes to a shipping label with BackerKit Postage?

Make changes to a shipping label by canceling the incorrect label and creating a new one.

To cancel a shipping label for one backer:

  1. On the menu on the left, click Backers.
  2. Search for the backer by their name, email address, notes, or pledge ID.
  3. When you find the backer, click their name.
  4. Click the Shipping tab.
  5. Click the Refund shipping label button and adjust the details for the backer. To update backer data, regenerate the Package Groups report.
  6. Purchase shipping for this order again with the changes to the shipping information.

To cancel a shipping label for multiple packages:

  1. On the menu on the left, click Start Shipping.
  2. Click BackerKit Postage.
  3. Click the Print & Ship tab.
  4. Click the refund transaction link.
  5. Purchase shipping for this order again with the changes to the shipping information.

How do I update the shipping rates after I assign a package type in BackerKit Postage?

If your rates don’t automatically update after you assign a package type in BackerKit Postage, click the Refresh Quotes For This Package link.

Why can’t I generate a USPS SCAN form?

If you’re having trouble generating a USPS SCAN form, verify the following:

  • A label isn’t included in a previous SCAN form.
  • All labels were created within the last 96 hours. If you created a label more than 96 hours ago, you can refund the postage and repurchase it.
